About the Author

EnriqueEnrique Aldana has been Arizona Public Media’s Senior Director of Development for 12 years. He loves connecting with people and creating meaningful partnerships that support public media and education. He was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, and raised in NY State and Tucson. He is fluent in Spanish and English and enjoys learning about different cultures and perspectives. He is a graduate of UA’s Eller College of Management. He’s married to his wife, Katie, for 25 years and has two daughters, Sophie and Marissa.
 
He is also a creative entrepreneur who founded Yours Truly Notecards, which includes posters, stickers, and photographs printed on metal and acrylic. He recently wrote and authored this children’s book, Sophie and Marissa’s Tree of Life. The book celebrates his daughters, a majestic Mesquite tree in their backyard, and the beautiful desert creatures in, on, or around the tree.
